Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

Ordered some more items from Hornby with the BF discounts, a village hall, and a load of trees half price. . I have also purchased on fleabay a Dapol track cleaning wagon DCC ready so need to think about making it DCC fitted when it comes. I am pretty sure it is 8 pin, would the Hornby R8249 digital loco decoder work? I have never converted any train yet so thought this may be good to practice on. I only paid around £30 for it ;o)
I've got a few with girders. How about pipes?
Pipes are OK as are coiled wire bundles that I used to see as a youngster. Or just run as empty stock.

It's funny you should mention coiled wire because I can remember seeing that in the Slough sidings enroute to the Trading Estate.

Drapers hand held vacuum cleaner. Work very well. Small, lightweight and powerful.
If you dream it, you can do it.
