Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

I preferred Daisy Duke.

Three guesses as to the actress' real surname. :-)

I reckon it was Catherine Bach. Has that any signifigance other than giving WTD a chance of going to composers (again)?

Despite his protest I'm sure his reaction to Wonder Woman is the same as his reaction to FS.

Hope you enjoyed the book about the electrics (typical - Southern voltage!!), I haven't read it, or even seen it.

Do you have a Wonder Woman fetish PP. You can't stop mentioning her. I don't remember seeing her. Did she live locally to you?

Decided to avail of some of the bargains over in Liverpool and picked up:

BR Hawksworth 1st Class, Brake 3rd and 1st/3rd Brake

Pullman 1st Class Palour, 3rd Class Kitchen and 3rd Class Brake

Also waiting on R3138 HST to arrive, but I had these custom weathered at TMC.

Hoping the P2 TTS Sound version and 2-BIL show up shortly, have both on pre-order :)

The lot should be up on the channel as they come in, for anyone wanting to get a look!

Thanks

Sorry you don't win that point. Bach was only her stage name.

It is a very interesting story. It is particularly significant in that the North East was way out in front of electrical progress, William Armstrong at Cragside, Charles Merz, Charles Parsons, Vincent Raven, just to name a few.

Did you know that they privately built the first electrical supply 'Grid' which became the model for the power distribution system the whole of Britain has today.

She was born Catherine Bachman.

Don't ask me - it's LC&DRs game!! He cheats though, he didn't specify 'real' as against 'stage' name.
