Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

Well I have found an abundace of A3 A4 doors on Hornby's own website so ordered 2 packs as the postage was double the parts price. Peters spares haven't got any but want £3 more per pack + £5 del.

Yes, as previously stated by others, Peter's Spares is a very useful resource, but he is comparatively expensive, both on parts prices and delivery charges. I seem to recall that his eBay outlet charged cheaper for delivery, but that seems to have gone up now too.

The 21-pin 'recent previous' 37 is a superb model in itself, but if that's for one of the 'retooled' ones, you've got a good deal there.

I've 4 'previous model' Bachy 37's, with an Accurascale ordered for good measure ...

It is for one of the retooled ones.

I bought Zimo sound decoders and speakers for my new 9F, G2A, Compound & 5MT.

I also got 4 boxes of Peco flexitrack at the Warley show on Saturday, I was quite surprised at how heavy they were on the way back to the carpark!

Obviously back in stock. That’s good. Peco flexi was in very short supply for several months. Over here, there has been none for several months.

Actually, I bought 2 boxes from one retailer and the other 2 from 2 other retailers, seems they didn't have much stock.

Both of my local shops are out of stock too.

Hopefully, with what I've already amassed, I'll have enough for the new layout.
