What's your latest aquisition?


Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

The new R3180 Sentinel 4wDH has entered LC&DR's stock list. A chance visit to the local model shop was the chance encounter and impulse buy.

They don't sound Russian at all so how can Covhop sound like meercat (or was that market?) :-)

Another impulse buy, a Parkside kit of a GW Gunpowder van. Naughty, Naughty!! I really shouldn't just pop into the model shop every time I am in York! I am too susceptible to these little impulses.

Me again - acquired at the York Toy Fair today, the new Hornby LMS CCT in BR red, a Triang SR EMU (only two cars this time) but with the dummy pick up bogie on the non-motored car so a late edition , and an unmade DJH SR D1/E1 4-4-0 whitemetal kit.

Oh

and an unmade Kitmaster 'Stephenson Rocket' out of its box (in a sealed plastic packet) but with original instruction leaflet.
