Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

A couple of boxes of semi-flex track and several each LH and RH Express points and a good few R628 Y curves for my parallel bits. Never done this flexi track laying before so that’s a learning curve coming up.

Waiting arrival of a 2 ft long laser cut twin track bow-string bridge from inthegreenlaser.com - nice range and the prices are well below similar makes comparing model for model.

A circle of Hornby R4 curves............now I can finally test run my 20yr old Roco 310.23.......and it will make it much easier on my Electrotren DMUs and EMU.

Must really build a layout one day, but until then set track on laminate flooring is the only option!

Found a brand new Bachmann Class 85 for £85 free P&P so it (finally) had to be done.

Very nice model - curious method of pickups vertical posts scraping brass / bronze 'fingers' riveted to the circuit board on top of the inner body.

Runs reasonably very well, but no 'superstar'.

Just bought a Tri-ang R.A.M.C. Ambulance Coach. pre-owned, from a local chap, no postage......just a spit of fuel to go and get it.

It needed 3 red crosses, so I made 4, and removed the one that was there.(Almost fallen off).

Looks good, and ready to roll.Wink

Another X13 Hornby Railways plastic rolling stock wheels; Listing appears to be including X2 spoked wheels and X11 3 hole wheels. It does not matter how many of which wheel type are included, as again they are for my scrap load collection. You can never have enough scrap! Laughing Wink Smile
