Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

Great purchase, new lad on block. Smile

Looks like you bought two of each? I have one of each of the Hornby Coca-Cola LWB Box Van and Tank Wagon on pre-order, but they have not arrived yet.

I find it amusing how the Hornby Coca-Cola products, all state on the boxes "FOR ADULT COLLECTORS", when the locootive and the wagons toolings and basis, are all from the Hornby RailRoad range, which is for everyone of all ages. All I csn think the reason for that wording, is because they are Coca-Cola branded products?

New kid on the block - literally.

Hattons' Class 66 418 Patriot - all 742g of it!!

Extremely smooth, powerful and quiet - not silent as has been implied in a 'Review' but it is very quiet.

Reminds me of the Class 60 I have, which is one of Hornby's finest, except with yet more detail!!

We love the Santa's Express.  Beautifully boxed and a real "find". Runs perfectly and was the hit of

Christmas here around our (Norwegian) Christmas Tree. Thank you, Hornby, and keep the trains running

throughout 2020!!

I've just received a 'New' TTS Hornby P2 - a real beauty!!

Just finished fitting the detailing, and adding a little.

I know the criticisms of this model - only a small 3-pole fitted - but it probably won't be running that much anyway - more on show.

Four  new arrivals from Widnes yesterday, a Hornby 2Hil EMU . and three Hornby SR (ex LSWR) guards vans. Lovely models However I am having difficulty reading the route restriction inscription on the two BR liveried versions of the guards vans , any ideas what is is supposed to say?
