Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

A whole load of new Class 66's and a 153 just to mix it up a bit, spent out, but happy

I have been looking at these...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0765RSJW6?ref=em_1p_0_ti&ref_=pe_4022371_365582951

They are supposed to be rated for mains lighting work but did not get very good reviews, not surprising as they are only spring pressure for connection.

I thought (being triple ganged) they would be handy for wiring point motors. Worth a punt at 50 for less than £7 with free P&P.

I'm glad this post is latest acquistion, and not purchase: I've just taken delivery of J36 Maude, 1 year and 5 days after I ordered and paid for it!

I also treated myself to the Class 66 Evening Star a few days ago.

Couple of great models.

Their - belongs to (it is their train set) / There - a location ( I have been there) / They’re - short for “They are” (They’re happy with their new train)

Sorry to Triumph owner for not responding sooner, yes , this is the Model Rail loco, I got it from their web offer.  Still puzzling over the speaker, would need to be as slim as Twiggy in her prime to fit!

@Bulver

Which model was it, of the several liveries offered ?  I have long been thinking of getting one of these as they (0-6-0) are very practical and attractive. A photo would also be appreciated if you have time, please. Innocent

Lawnmower?

Yes, you posted a picture of one on the previous page.

That’s not a lawnmower.

It appears that the Gods have been smiling today!!

I've had another call from Hornby to state:

1. 6229 locomotive received.

2. After an in-depth study of the situation, the short had finally been located. I was onto it, but doubt I would have observed every aspect. Resolved.

3. Very obscure - not happened to any other (this appears to be true, hence my personal frustration - sort of 'why me?' !!)

4. Will post out - should receive early next week.

THAT'S FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE - THANK YOU HORNBY!!

Can't wait, particularly with the new Flying Scotsman additions as well.

Al.

DoH has returned from Hornby - now to test it out- once I get it home!!

Nice to have it back again.

Al.

It’s a tractor Jacob. Can you see any mowing attachments? Have you never seen a tractor?
