Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

Thank you!  Since I'm in the US, it should be here in a few days.  Can't wait to get it and put it through the paces on my layout!

BB, nice loco. I hope you enjoy, plus I have noticed you have modified it already, by fitting a figure in it! Laughing Wink Smile

The driver came out just for the photo-shoot! He's now back in the bag he came from and the loco is back in its box, and back in the cupboard.

Not me - my overalls are white! BB

@EdMarra

You are welcome. Smile

@bulleidboy

So you must have painted the driver then, because they don’t come out of the box painted. They come out of the plain black, with no painted detail what so ever.

@RAF96

This is for model railway purchases, not for washing machine spares! Wink Laughing Smile

Hi Jacob,

I don't use the Hornby Crew - the Bachmann ones come ready painted. I also use some made from pewter - they guy selling them attends shows in the south pretty regularly - they are designed for specific loco's - he has a large range for both Hornby and Bachmann locos. BB

If you dream it, you can do it.

I didn’t realise that’s the Bachmann crew and I didn’t reslise they come painted.

Yes, I assumed it’s not a OO Gauge model! Laughing

Jacob - Bachmann sell a range of figures - from railway staff to passengers, and they come from various era's.

Pictures show passengers (Bachmann) arriving at and on Wykeham Station.
