Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

I agree. A three month dog walk is way to long! Where are walking? Around the world and back?! Laughing

Only joking. Jokes aside, I do WTD to come back on this forum. Smile

Ssdly, two of these R9688 Lime Wagon "Grey"'s are not in stock, so two are being replaced for a 77042 Open Wagon - Blue! Laughing

Just arrived boxed set of three 24.5 ton coal hoppers (Diagram 1/148) from the new (Irish) kids in the block. Lovely models with correct details.

Over the last month, thanks to a colleague talking about biomass wagons he sees daily, I've purchased a good-used Bachmann Class 66 from Rails, and 'a few' HH hopper wagons - OK, quite a lot actually!!

Out of the country for now, so they'll be waiting for me when I return.

I was trying to stick to '48 - late 60's with a 'few exceptions' until now ... never mind!!

Which livery is this Class 66 in, atom3624? EWS, Freightliner, Stobart Rail, etc livery?

I love the Bachmann Class 66. They are nice and very well detailed. I have one.

I went for the Freightliner - sort of ties in with the 'earlier' 08's, 20, 25, 37, 40, 47 and 55 Deltic I have - all green in some form.

Must admit, 66 is a beast!!

Good choice, atom3624. I like the Freightliner Class 66's. I also like the Freightliner livery, the old livery, that is.
