Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

My latest loco to add to my very small fleet of now 5 is the Hornby Class 86 "The Boys' Brigade" which i picked up from eBay.  Not one that I will look to run as I dont want to manually convert it to DCC, although it does run nicely, if a little noiser than my other new models.  It was in a worn box but the model is in perfect condition.

Happy to have found one as there are more "Phoenix" models that appear and as a BB member it is a nice thing to have in my collection.

Distracts from track pinning and point motor hole drilling that seems to be taking me an age.

You need 58 BMW Isetta’s?! You really do like BMW Isetra’s! Laughing

That’s a lot. I wouldnt buy two of the same Oxford Diecast model, as they have the same registration number.

I‘ve read the post you linked me to, before. If I were you, I would wait for Oxford Diecast to release more colours, instead them all being red. Need a bit of colour difference! Laughing

3 21 pin decoders, 2 laisdcc and one dcc Concepts with stay-alive.  The laisdcc will be paired on the Bmann LU set, and the dcc Concepts version being fitted to the Heljan Met Bo-Bo.  Test run, and both seem to be very good

Caiptean,

Are they aquisitions, or have you posted in the wrong thread?

Two Isetta's would be too many for me, never mind 24! Laughing

More or less, these would cost £5.00 each, so 24 x 5 = 120, so more or less, you have spent £120.00 on those BMW's, Caiptean. You have definetly spent more than £100.00 on them anyway, even if you did get them for a bit less than £5.00.

@Jacob

The sticker price of those bubbles is £5.45 so you can up your big sums total a tad.
