Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

Another APT-P.  I need the parts to try and make another intermediate coach, and to maintain my power cars.

Caiptean, I do have a large Thomas rolling stock collection, plus I have made a detailed list of the products they have released. Check this out: https://www.hornby.com/community/forum/hornby-thomas-friends-electric-range-1985-2016-19295/?p=1.

Now you know and most of it very difficult to get. If you look at what Hornby currently produces, it nothing compared to what Hornby used to produce: https://www.hornby.com/community/shop/brands/thomas-friends.html/.

Two "Warship" class 43 locos. Both proved excellent runners despite their advanced years.

R3509TTS, City of Brirmingham 46235, arrived yesterday after being on pre-order for a year. Looks great, sounds great and runs great! The variety of whistles is nice to have alongside City of Sheffield (the XS loksound sound version)

R3509TTS, City of Brirmingham 46235. Although i don't have any track setup at the moment so haven't been able to run it. I might put something together tonight as I really want to see it in running.

That's really wierd that is. LMSFan72's and m_duck's new purchase is the same locomotive and their posts are right next to each other! Laughing

I've wanted one of these for a while and I think £13 for a good condition version isn't too bad:-
