Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

Posted at 07:59:15 Tue 19 Mar 2013

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

Some LMS Coaches! OT, 60'CK and a 12 wheeler Kitchen. Just need building! And some more bits for my K's Garratt.

If it’s not Crimson, it isn’t a proper engine

I did the same. I didn't scroll down and the box for the buffer stop, or the buffer stop itself was not in shot on y laptop screen and I thought he had posted a picture of his food shopping! Laughing

Yes, great work, TsoT. The buffer stop looks brand new.

Superb, Dynax. You lucky chap. Don't let the Cat Controller jump aboard ! Laughing   I have never seen one of these advetised in the past couple of years.

My latest acquisition is a Triang Blue Pullman set.  I didn't need the loco, only the Parlour Car. But useful to have spare motive power I suppose. So will probably hang on to it.
