Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

Here's mine.

All that glistens is not gold. The body has a different R number from the chassis, which appears to be a Lord of the Isles. Someone has pulled a fast one on me, it would appear. Luckily it runs OK.

The plastic pickup plate was usually marked for LOI so totally original. They share the same chassis so the part is common to both locos.

Thanks, SoT. Nobody enjoys the feeling of having been swindled. So all is well in the Engine Shed. Smile

My purchases I made today at The Great Electric Train Show, at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon, Warwickshire were, as follows:

x1 Hornby R6362 Hornby 2007 Wagon - 9 Plank Open Wagon

x2 Hornby Thomas & Friends R9295 James' Composite Coach

x1 Hornby Thomas & Friends R9296 James' Brake Coach

The x3 James' Coaches cost me only £17.50 each, which was a really, really good bargain! Laughing Smile

Did you enjoy the show Jacob? First year I couldn't make it. Just right for you, trains and cars. Laughing
