Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

Hornby R2408 Class 50 Sir Edward Elgar, been after this  model for a while.

Thankyou for a superbly filmed presentation on a great layout.  Sir Edward looks splendid and I just love those LMS Clerestory coaches and have several myself. Though my layout definitely not up to your standard. The video's high definition looks excellent on a large monitor.

@jimbopuff

Thank you for the feedback, I am really pleased with the class 50 in that livery.

I took the video in HD so it looks good on my TV.

Well spotted TL. It looks quite a hairy loco.

After yonks of waiting, mine's on its way from Widnes. Unfortunately, upon checking the DHL tracking reference, it appears to be heading for Orlando USA rather than Cairns Australia.

 Oh and I forgot to mention, another Dapol gauge 'O' BR goods van. I really need to start building my finescale O shunting layout!

x1 Hornby The World of Thomas the Tank Engine R317 Diesel. This Devious Diesel is the rare model from the 1980's, with the white face.

Bought another one of these 'cos it was cheap (£9) and a good runner!

Is this locomotive to make your own Duck, from Thomas & Friends?
