What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

SoT, I imagine you have quite a few Dock Shunters already so what will you do with this latest one? Do you sell online?

Last month I bought an Elite. So I had to buy a dcc loco to make sure it was ok. I managed to get a Bachmann class 47 University of Leicester extremely cheap. Both work brilliantly

So because I was impressed with the 1st one being cheap with working lights and sound, I've just won another exactly the same. Not as cheap, but hopefully just as good.

Had to get 2 so I can double header them hehe

Class 31 TTS in green £73 or so including postage, bearing in mind they are selling them for £49.50 with sound taken out.

Don't need 10, just 2 for my Adams Radial. The other eight will be going on eBay.

Got it last Saturday from the great Hornby shop in Swindon for £85 (RRP £140)

I've never been to that Hornby Hobbies shop in Swindon, but I really want to go. Did you notice any bargains on any of the Thomas items in the shop, Clownfish01?
