Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

Well done. I got it from the shop in Boughton on the water. Mail order.

Oh, right. I have only bought one item from them in my life time. Bourton-on-the-Water's Model Shop is not cheap, but it's very well stocked, across the model railway manufacturers out there.

I certainly is cheap. I got the loco £25 less than anywhere else post free. That's the third loco from there at a good price. The first one mail order.

Maybe it's just the items I want then, are not cheap at that shop! Laughing

Don't shop there then. They do tend to have products that are hard to fInd.

Gordon is cheaper than Hornby with Club discount.

There's plenty of other model shops selling the current release Gordon than £95.00. I got mine from Rails of Sheffield, for £69.50. Hatton's is the second cheapest at £71.00, but they are of stock of Gordon.
