Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

When I said go to the Island of Sodor, I wasn't talking about Day Out with Thomas event's, at hertiage railways.

I was imagining if the Island of Sodor really existed, when I said about taking a holiday there.

Yes I know that Jacob, I was saying I don't even like Thomas days so I certainly wouldn't want to go on a Thomas holiday.

Yes good point HB. Apart from the Wickham Trolley I purchased a set of B'mann loco crew. Two of them are seated and I needed them for the trolley. I repainted them to look like workmen. I also bought a conveyer kit. You get two portable conveyers. I shall use one in the goods yard for loading open wagons and one next to the coaling stage for coaling small locos.

Back to the Thomas models, I thinbk Bachmann have simply used their Branchlines tooling for their wqagons and some of the bogie coaches probably to save money on tooling as none of the Bachman US stock would look right for the troublesome trucks etc.

Interestingly theirt Harry Potter Howarts Castle was one of their Modified Halls by the look of the spare parts that were available.

Modelling a combined 00 and 009 gauge Layout (GWR/GVT) mostly

No they're not motorised HB they are only about 1/4 inch wide. Would be good though.
