Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

Also bought a pile of IC's and Dil sockets, here's a tiny few of them.  I am using to make an affordable level crossing and working barrier unit that will work my barrier crossings.

Not trains this time but four rather nice photographic albums of steam locomotives.  Gresley A4s in colour, Jubilees, V2s and 9Fs.

3 BR (ER) blood & custard coaches from 'Mighty Mallard' set (Margate manufacture). Nice looking coaches, will replace the wheels with Hornby's current metals.  the brake has been 'adapted' to have a light fitted, with the switch on the opposite side of the gangway connector.  Before I destroy the vehicle trying to remove said light, can anyone advise how I remove the roof?  Any help would be gratefully received.  Thank you

Rod

Mine is a super-rare Hornby The World of Thomas the Tank Engine R105 Red Tidmouth Milk Tanker, that was a factory error in 1985!

got myself a relatively cheap Railroad 9F to swap over the bodies with my tender driven 9F that I've had problems with, but will continue to try to resolve, as I love a challenge.

That's not a Hornby Hobbies product though! Isn't this thread for Hornby products only, or anything from any other model railway manufactuer?
