Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

Just unpacked my Huntley and Palmers Peckett. Wow just about sums it up. The detail is incredible. I'm going to permanently attach a wagon with extra pickups if I can find a way to route the wires.

Just remember you can't eat itLaughing

regards John

'Dodo' has arrived!  But I cannot look at it as I have told SWMBO that it is my Christmas Present.

Interlink spot in time as usual.

My latest railway acquistions are, this beauty (B12) and another Class 71

And the last arrival before Christmas is the mighty Airfix 1:24th Scale Hawker Typhoon - my brain is pooling around my feet after reading the instruction book....

I think I need a bigger workbench...

I thought I saw a light at the end of the tunnel, nope it's a client with another commission.

I agree; the Huntley and Palmers Peckett is outstanding, with a wonderful livery application too; I  regret that I didn't order Dodo too... What a fabulous model - well done Hornby!
