Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

My wife bought me Jubilee class 45552 "Silver Jubilee" for our 25th wedding anniversary in 1998, along with a full size chromed nameplate and smoke box door number. I have also driven 45690 Leander. Enjoy your purchase.

If you liked the real thing - Yes, it is a good looking model. Have only run it light on a rolling road so far, but it runs smoothly.

My most recent addition is a Bachmann N.R.M. Great Northern Atlantic in G.N. livery as 251. They produce the loco in 3 colours; G.N., L.N.E.R. & B.R. So that makes two G.N. locos available their colours the other being the J52 also available in the three aforementioned colours [which I also have in G.N. colours]. So how about Hornby producing a Gresley A1 in G.N. colours, in this case 1471 Sir Frederick Banbury, as 1470[N] is available in early L.&.N.E.R. colours. 1471 being the second prototype and 1472 the first production version, that's still with us at the N.R.M.

Oh good you've convinced me. Wasn't difficult was it?
