Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

That's odd, I can hear your wife (lovely lady that she is) saying that, as well.

It sounds like your wife and mine went to the same achool! That is EXACTLY what she says too.

But woe betide me if I mention shoes, handbags, coats, etc. etc.

But we love them, don't we!

Depends whether you are talking about trains or handbags.
And thanks for all the fish …

Never hear a complain from my Wife.
Loves the trains almost as much as I do.
We travel off just for the fun of it when ever we can.
Mayumi likes any locomotives in black;clean and tidy like their cared for.
Any other half like them??

My boss likes them. She never complains when I buy anything regardless what it is. She buys what she likes and vice versa.

My wife likes steam mainly, and the more detail, the better. She's always loved seeing the small details on a train, like the detail in the cab and such.

So, when I buy a more expensive loco, I tell her it's because it

has more detail, and I'm getting it for her as well!

Think my wife would rather I bought her a Radley handbag than a loco with extra detail. I'll offer to get her a loco for her birthday next month. You can come and visit me in hospital.

Hi WTD

You've the makings of a good compromise there. A Radley handbag that looks like a Schools class loco - Radley 30930 ?

Very clever, PP. Hit that man with a handbag.
