What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

@Bulver @WTD@choralc I must admit to "cheating" a bit. The No. 22 Railcar body is from an expired Lima loco which I fiited to a brand new Hornby frame and engine as I noticed an article mentioning both firms used the same chassis. So I now have a new Hornby Crimson body which I shall be selling on Fleabay sometime soon. Also the dead Lima ensemble (which I doubt anyone wants).

Two more 'O' gauge kits arrived by post from Parkside. Both SR, one van and an 8 plank open. They will make up into really goods wagon models.

A kind donation of 14 Wrenn BR 21 ton hopper wagons from a friend who is downsizing his collection arrived yesterday. These are fairly crude compared to later versions but will look OK as a rake behind my Hornby Dublo or Wrenn 8F, with a Wrenn LMR Guards van.
