Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

They're great value aren't they 2e0.

I think they are really nice and good value too,I've collected the first twelve of the seven plank wagons so far and intend to continue ,I've no intention of running them just want to collect them ,one of each ,,,,,,

Do they charge much to do that. Modelmaster do a kit for about a tenner to do the same thing.

Just 'won' four Hornby Dublo 3 rail locos. A 'Mallard', a Co-Bo, an N2 and yet another BR 4MT 2-6-4T in an auction. All tested and after a little lubrication run fine.  Co-Bo was a bit noisy at first but perfect after a drop of oil. There is a Toy Fair in York this Sunday .............................

Just bought the railroad Evening Star (R3288) from my nearest model shop for £107.99. It looks lovely but I'm having dificulties removing the body from chassis. I've removed the tender and the screw under the cab as instructed, but I can't seem to lift the body off fully because it's stuck at the front as if hooked on to something or another screw needs removing. Can anyone help?
