Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

Two Caledonian sets, three other 0-4-0 steam locos and various rolling stock items; love these little locos as they run fantastic including slow running with a decent power supply and controller.

The Postman has just delivered my new Ivatt C1 Atlantic in LNER green  and now I am a happy bunny and am testing it on my Hornby rolling road. The Model is from the Nrm Collection made by the blue box company. I have made the suggestion to Hornby for a number of years and it seems they let the competition do it. My only other recent buy was D11 LNER black 4-4-0. I am hoping that the new B12 and renumber B17 will be available soon.  My model of Sandringham 2800 LNER B17 has had to go back to Hornby for repairs to the valve gear. So I have not been very happy with my model railway. So today I can have some fun and will soon be a happy bunny again.

Popped into Newport town centre today and saw our Hawkins Bizarre is closing down as it was an Xmas Store. Managed to pick up a Railroad Tornado for just £40! They also have a Bagnall Shunter for £15 and a Flying Scotsman for £40.

My local second hand shop on the other hand had a BR green tornado from the trainset, unboxed for just £85!

Gm60 wheel cleaner from Gaugemaster - been waiting a long time for that to come back into stock.

Spare rollers for my rolling road. Bargain from Hornby on line at less than a tenner a pair - half price.
