Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

Yesterday received 'Whitechapel' and Year Book, lovely items, highly delighted with purchases.  Following others suggestions re club membership, took the (online) plunge, paid the annual fee,of £15, and with the total for the 2 items coming to £22.19, (post free!) a fabulous deal

Good on yer Bulver. I managed to get both Terriers for total of £30, last years and this years club voucher. My membership renewed the weekend the locos became available. What a bargain. Laughing

I've added Whitechapel to my collection too.

If you dream it, you can do it.

Not my region of first choice (coming from Middlesex) but it is such a lovely loco, couldn't resist.  Another box to add to the selection, one day I might even get to run it properly!  And, I have always had a soft spot for the Bulleid 4-6-0s, so got a Wrenn/Hornby hybrid of WC class too (Margate motorised tender with unmotorised Harlow body) goes very well.  Body lines are as lovely as the Midland 'Coronations' to my eye.

The two new releases of four-wheel coal wagons from Oxford. They look very tasty, too. I've not taken them out of the boxes yet, so what they roll like I don't know (see the wheels discussion!) Photo's later, when I get chance.

I haven't seen one 'in the plastic' but it looks like a very nice model.
