What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

I was in Monk Bar Models this afternoon to collect my 7mm Dapol A1X (7S-010-001) 32655 I had ordered, and persuaded myself also to buy a kit for a 7mm van to accompany it. My first RTR fine scale gauge O model (I have scratch built two locos previously) .

Received a MyLocosound decoder for Diesel/Railcar......fitted it into a class105 two-car DMU but it would only fit into the dummy car with a basic 2 function decoder in the motored car...........only problem is that you can only alter the CV's on the Sound Decoder when it is attached to a motor and then fit it back into the dummy car when completed but it works fine and sounds great, the tickover is very realistic. HB

A super item arrived today, one of the last few RoS Limited Edition (500) LMS diesel twins 10000 and 10001. I just had to have these because I often saw them as a very young trainspotter at Blisworth. Must get a Deltic as well sometime.

On pre-order - the ICI limestone hoppers, from Oxford via Hattons.

Also a set of white LED striplights from B+Q for overhead lighting of my railway, as room lighting is too dim for good video, losing too much detail.

£15 for three sections that plug together, and total 28" (710 millipedes), with a wall-wart psu and a decent length of cable.

I chose this method rather than a 12v 'railway' unit, for mobility - it makes it a multi-purpose thing!

I have just received my Ltd edition of King George V from the NRM which is superb and a Deltic DP1 with sound plus a new a new lenz dcc controller

Arrived today, my first weathered loco, a class 3F 0-6-0 in BR black and DCC fitted all for £79, a little beauty!! HB.

Evening everyone,today i purchased the hornby railroad lms jinty dcc fitted for 27 pounds,with it came a voucher for 5 pounds off a next purchase so i could have purchased another one for 22 pounds,thats what i call a good deal.
