Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

Another Merchant Navy Class for renaming and numbering.

If you dream it, you can do it.

Someone gave me a Hornby "Little Giant" 0-4-0T but it is so uncontrollable (OFF, FAST, VERY FAST) I think I shall pass it on to one of the grand kids! Shame really, as the detail is quite good for a freelance model.

3 x Golden Arrow Coach, giving me a rake of 10, albeit with the same running number.

My latest Acquisition was 2 fold so should be acquisitions - the Tylsley connection trainpack by Hornby and the Ambulance Train by Bachmann. The first as it contains the engine 'Pitchford Hall' the engine I drove as a 60th present from my family and is a beautiful model. The second I saw it on display and had to have it. So tightening the belt for a few months.

I considered the Tylsley pack and thought about what I would do with the BR coaches but more importantly is there any of those warning signs on the loco for electrified wires?

No there are no electrified wire warning signs on any of the coaches. The British Railways rondal is on both sides of the coach and along the chasis in the centre there is an 'Emergency Lighting Point' indicator.

A brief update of the 'Jinty'. the body is complete, now it needs painting, lettering and couplings. TT and OO versions for comparison.

Latest aquisition is a Lima H0/00 'Plymouth' shunter. Obviously it's based on an American or continental design despite the BR livery, but a combination of a dremel, craft knife and poly cement has made it look more British, just by chopping off the overhangs

Thanks Yozzer for describing the coaches as warning sign free but is the loco also warning sign free. I'd keep the loco for my GWR fleet if it was sign free :)
