Model Railway - What's your latest acquisition?

What's your latest aquisition?

Here's my latest purchase, a Tri-ang-Hornby R.754 M7 in BR Black livery.

The box was tatty, crew were missing and the BR totem transfers on the tank sides were part missing as per normal.

The model is slowly being restored, a fresh box mint was found on ebay with incorrect labels (the one on the right) and I have crew and original totem transfers a plenty in stock, I will post stages of the restoration at intervals for all my friends on here to see as they take place.

Here's the loco pre-restoration but with nice new original 40+ BR Totem transfers put on the side tanks, a packet of the original transfers is posed by the loco for reference.

Hope all at Hornby like what I am doing to their old locos.

Enjoy!

I can't believe you are afraid of your own loved ones.

If it’s not Crimson, it isn’t a proper engine

Well the Mk1 Hornby made 1970's rake is growing, a Buffet car arrived today off ebay, it's not perfect with odd marks and rubbed transfers but I will run it until I find a minter. Thankfully I kept a correct box back for it.

A Norstand, Texaco and BR brake wagon to go with my Hornby London Transport Pannier,

A wreck of a Jouef 231c pacific for £10. with the remains of the two others i have I should be able to get one working.

Two Ruston Bucyrus Excavators and crane for the quarry. Even though I've still a lot of scenic work to do they just seem to add life.

Modelling a combined 00 and 009 gauge Layout (GWR/GVT) mostly

Hi all from Australia, I have been modelling since 1975, various themes. I have seen the light, so to say, and just purchased the following

The Majestic digital elink,

The Mixed Freight digital

The Flying Scotsman (for the wife, as we were passangers behind it in 1988)

and the Hornby Trains on film, Titfield Thunderbolt, (for curiosty)

along with a few odds and ends for my new layout

Welcome to the forums, as. Plenty of help on here, but not usually from me, I'm afraid. Just enjoy modelling our wonderful old, or perhaps even modern, railways.

Nine Bachmann Presflos at a knocked down price not the ridiculous £22/3 per shot. Hopefully getting a Hornby long wheelbase CCT on Sat and a catalooooooje, as some prefer to say.
