Hi, Im after some advise with my second hand train set. I have two controllers, R8250 & R912 when I tried them (individually), the locos dont run particularly fast and can be a bit juddery, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Several ideas. 1- rub your finger along a track. If you see a black line appear on your finger, the track is dirty. clean it with a bit of loo roll, by rubbling it along the track. This will make your locos run better.

2- check your power connection- if its loose, it may produce erratic running.

3- Which locos have you got? Some aren't designed to run fast, they may be supposed to pull long trains.
